Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Dense Global (Family Pharmaceuticals Limited, company number 16327969, registered office 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on dense.global. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels and scripts) do the same job. We group them by what they do, below. Some are set by us and some by companies that provide services to us.
How to change your choices
The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time by reopening the consent panel from the "Change your consent" button at the bottom left of every page. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies, though blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site working, including checkout.
Essential cookies (always on)
These make the site work: your basket, currency and country, checkout security, fraud prevention and your consent choices. Set by Shopify, which runs our store, and by our consent tool (Pandectes). They do not need your consent.
Examples: cart, cart_sig, cart_currency, localization, _shopify_essential, keep_alive, _tracking_consent, _pandectes_gdpr. Durations range from the session to one year.
Analytics and testing (on by default, you can object)
We measure how the site is used so we can improve it: which pages are visited, how far people scroll, which buttons are clicked, device and browser types, page speed, and comparisons between two versions of a page (A/B testing). This information is statistical. It is not used to track you across other websites, to build an advertising profile of you, or to identify you.
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, Schedule A1) allows this kind of usage measurement without prior consent, provided we tell you clearly and give you a simple, free way to object. You can object at any time by choosing Decline in the consent panel (the "Change your consent" button at the bottom left of every page); the tools below then stop for you.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc., hosted in the EU): page views, clicks, scroll depth, funnel steps, device and browser, coarse location. Cookie ph_*_posthog, one year. PostHog acts only on our instructions as our processor.
- Intelligems: assigns you at random to one version of a page so we can compare the two. Cookies ig-id, ig-vars, ig-pv, ig-fv (one year) and ig-location (one hour).
- Shopify analytics: _shopify_y (one year), _shopify_s (30 minutes), _landing_page and _orig_referrer (two weeks).
- Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager once you accept): _ga, _ga_* (one year), aggregate traffic reporting.
- Microsoft Clarity (loaded through Google Tag Manager once you accept): _clck (one year), _clsk (one day), page and interaction statistics and, with your consent, an anonymised recording with all text masked.
Session replay and heat maps (only with your consent)
If you accept, PostHog and Microsoft Clarity may record how you move through a page (scrolling, clicks, mouse movement) and build heat maps from it, so we can see where a page confuses people. Recordings mask all text you type and all text on the page; we never see your name, address or payment details in a replay. Recordings are kept for one month and are viewed only by our own team. This is switched off unless you accept.
Marketing
These let our advertising partners measure whether their ads led to a visit or purchase and show you relevant ads elsewhere. You can decline them in the cookie banner or switch them off at any time in the cookie preferences control. Pixels managed through Shopify honour your choice immediately; we are extending the same control to every remaining marketing script and will update this page when that is complete.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): _fbp, _fbc, up to three months.
- Google Ads (conversion measurement): _gcl_au, three months; DoubleClick cookies set by Google.
- TikTok: _ttp, ttcsid, three months.
- Snapchat: _scid, _scid_r, _scsrid_r, one year.
- Klaviyo (our email and SMS provider): __kla_id, one year, and the Klaviyo onsite script that recognises you when you arrive from one of our emails.
- UpPromote (affiliate and creator programme): _up_clid, so a creator is credited when you buy after their link.
- Tolstoy (shoppable video): tolstoy-anonymousId.
Customer support
Gorgias, our help desk and chat, stores a small amount of local data so a conversation continues across pages. Set only when you open the chat.
